Choosing a Healthy Lifestyle
What to consider when choosing a healthy lifestyle.
Changing lifestyle into a healthy one is always good. And with generous information on health available out there, it’s so easy for us to pick and apply those info into our new lifestyle. But one important thing that is also good to remember before deciding how you are going to put the change into effect is to listen to your own body.
Each of us created uniquely. We might look similar on the outside; we might have the same skin color, body measurement, blood type, age and so on. Still if we take a closer and deeper look, we are unique individuals. Deeply rooted within each of us is our unique blueprints called DNA. This DNA also determines our choice of food, exercise and diet style because it has the information that tells the cells in our body exactly how to thrive.
This means what is best for us doesn’t always best for others. So, before we rush down to that gym and join whatever class that seems most wanted or before we buy that diet book and apply it, better try to think it through and learn to really listen to our body.
For example, we might even want to take the following things into consideration before start making choices:
Choosing a Diet Style
When choosing diet style, try to consult with the nutritionist. Or if it’s not possible we might want to make a tick list on these points:
- Diet style that suitable for my workload and daily activity
- Diet style that goes along with my budget.
- Diet that consists exercise and gradual change in eating behavior
- Diet style that don’t conflict with (if any) my illness and can improve not only my health but also my well being
Choosing the right exercise
Again, it’s always helpful to consult with the experts when making a healthy choice in our life. But if it isn’t possible, this can also be a pointer:
- Choose exercise that matches our personality so we will find it more enjoyable and easier to do. Do we prefer exercising together with others or individually? We know ourselves better
- Choose exercise that matches our needs and schedule
- If we never exercise regularly before, choose exercise that goes along with our pace. Later on, we can gradually increase the exercise intensity to prevent injuries.
We can always modify the list based on our own needs. And always remember to take and do everything in moderation.
